Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)



Duties and Responsibilities:   (LPN) work with registered nurses also physicians.  (LPN) are to take care of the handicapped, and sick patients. A (LPN) duty is to take temperatures, blood pressures and pulses.
Their job also requires to give injections, change dressings, and give patients baths. In general, they care for patients in hospitals, nursing homes, or extended care facilities. Some (LPN) work in private homes.

Salary: $16,000-$23,000


Education:  A licensed Practical Nurse requires to have a diploma or GED certificate is not always required. Training is usually offered in state approve training programs in hospitals, vocational schools, junior colleges and private schools.

Reflection:  in my opinion being a licensed practical nurse could be very interesting to  have as a job , but it not what im looking forward as a career .

Environmental Health specialist

Duties and environmental:
Sanitarians, or environmental health specialist, enforce government regulations and advise and educate clients. They also improve water and sanitation facilities and are involved in improving the quality of community environments. They often:

  Collect and analyze samples

               Screen samples for possible health hazards
·    
            Design or manage sanitation , disposal , and water systems
·   
             Oversee disposal of infectious wastes                                          
·       
              Develop and manage presentation and education programs

 Evaluate and identify health hazards and ensure compliance with regulations.

Average salary: $25,000-$50,000
Educational requirements:
Students should take college preparatory courses, especially in mathematics and science, during high school.
A career as a sanitarian or environmental health specialist requires a minimum of bachelor’s degree in environmental health or environmental engineering. Many gobs require certification and /or a Master’s degree in these or related field.

In my opinion i don't think i would like to be a environmental health specialist simply because its not what i see my self doing in the future .

Emergency medical technician

Duties and Responsibilities:
Emergency medical technicians, or EMTs, usually work in teams of two and specially design ambulances.
They provide immediate life or limb saving medical treatment at the senses of accidents and injuries as well as transport casualties to hospital emergency for further care. The job is both physically demanding and stressful. Emergency medical technicians often respond to
·         Automobile accidents
·         Heart attacks
·         Gun Shot wounding’s
·         Unscheduled child birth
·         Drowning’s
·         Other serious medical emergency’s

Average salary: $25,000-$37,500

Educational Requirements:

Students must have a high school diploma (in some areas GED certifacets may be substituted) in order to become a emergency medical technician. Driver’s education, health, and science courses are strongly recommended and may be required before enrolling in some training programs. Basic emergency medical technician training includes about 100-120 hours spent in the classroom and 10 hours in a hospital emergency room. Emergency medical technicians are required to pass state licensing or certification tests and participate in continuing education programs. Many emergency medical technicians earn associate degrees in their field.

Since I am a very nervous person I don’t think I would be the right person to take the responsibility to have this as a job.

Registered Dietitian

Duties and responsibilities:
Registered Detains provide and education about nutrition and its effect on health. They work in school, education administration, research, hospitals, clinics, industry, food services management, and private practice. Registered dietitians:
·         Organize and supervise food service
Operations and meal preparation
·         Make dietary recommendation
·         Counsel patients and clients and diets.
·         Supervise the nutritional value of food and how it is used by the body 
·         Study the nutritional value of food and how it is used by the body.

Average salary: $30,000-$40,000


Educational Requirements: 

 Students should take challenging high school curriculum that includes math and science courses. High school business courses may also prove helpful.

 A bachelor’s degree in dietetics or a related field approved by the American Dietetic Association is required. Registered dietitians must also pass a professional exam and complete a supervised practicum.

Health Information Specialists

Part 2
Educational Requirements:

   Students should take high school courses in business, information, management, science, math, and English.

  Coding specialists must have a high school diploma or GED certificate. Training is usually conducted on the high gob, but classes are offered at technical schools and community colleges. To become certified, specialists must pass an examination.
  Accredited record technicians must earn  an associate’s degree from an accepted college program or form the American health information Management associations Independent study Program .Additionally ,the must pass a credentialing examination.


  Record administrators must complete a bachelor’s degree program in the field and pass a certification examination.
