Neurologist 



Duties And Responsibilities : 

A neurologist is a medical doctor who is trained to diagnose and treat a nervous system disorders such as the brain , spinal cord, nerves and muscles . 
They are to perform various procedures such as neurological examinations of the nerves from head to neck ,muscle strength ,movement ,balance,ambulation,reflexes,sensation,memory speech , language and other cognitive abilities . 

Salary : $82,000-$195,520

Education : 
Students must attend a four year program of premedical education in college or university .Four years of medical school; resulting in a MD or Do degree .They are also to attend a year long internship in either internal medicine or medicine/surgery . last a 3 year of specialty training in an accredited neurology residency program .  

Reflection ; 
This career seems very interested and very competitive , that have many doors open to receive the education to be Neurologist .In my opinion it doesn't attract my attention ,and it is just something that i am not interested in doing .

Western Medicine Doctor 




Duties and Responsibilities :
western medical practice can also be done by , acupuncture professionals who are trained to treat patients in illness or condition . They care for the patients mental and physical emotion to perform the proper treatment . In Addition practices like this on patients will improve a balanced and a healthier balanced life.




Salary : $30,000-$150,000



Education : 
for most programs you are to take  1,500-2,000 hours that take training up to 3-4 years . students must take additional requirements to receive a certification exam and an additional licensing requirements .





Reflection : In my opinion this career seems interesting , yet something that i am for most not interested in . Yes its a good pay yet not in the field that i would want to take .

Military Medical careers 

Duties and Responsibilities : 
In the military there is three branches Army,Navy , Air Force .all three branches offer medical jobs medics to physicians and anything that include many other similar medical careers . Their responsibilities  is to care for injured soldiers , families and the military community . While combat the medical corps officer overseas the emergency medical management they are to make sure that all soldiers are in good health ready for combat . 



Salary : $120,000




Education : 
It all depends with in what career you are going in for . usually it is most common to serve 4 years . 



Reflection
Ived always had an interest in the military field , and i would be taking consideration to attending the army sounds like an interesting and challenging career to take and i can see my self taking .

Sports Medicine Doctor 

Duties and responsibilities:  
Sport medicine main focus is to help people with injuries and help them improve there performance. They are specially trained to help does who are injured playing a sport but can also , help regular people with injuries.They are also to preventing future injuries.Does just dedicated to help individuals in the sport industry can travel along with them making sure there is no injuries ,or traveling along with a sports team. There main focus is joint ,bone and muscle health.



Salary : $279,000 -$350,000


Education : 
student who are interested in this career they must acquire a bachelors degree ,accomplishing courses such as biology , chemistry , and physics.students must be required to take a medical college admission test in order to get into medical  school . 


Reflection : in my opinion this is a grate career to take in consideration especially because you gain much expirance and get to travel . And yet you get to help people .

Periodontist 




Duties and responsibilities : 
A Periodontist is someone who specializes with procedures with supporting structures of the mouth , teeth , bone and gum tissues . for most they focus on repairing the damage done by periodontal disease , such as gum disease or other infections. A primarily responsibility of a periodontist is to treat any diagnoses of of the mouth :such as teeth ,gums, and tissue . They are to prevent , diagnose and treat diseases.

Education : 
to become a periodontist go to a college program of 2 year to receive your bachelors,you must take courses such as biology,mathematics,chemistry , health , and physics. also you must take an examination that is required to pass in order to receive your license .

really like the fact that this career is a really good pay , even though this is a filed that i am currently interested in a other field i am actually considering to take this in consideration for a future career .

Ophthalmic Technician 

Duties and Responsibility :
Ophthalmic Technicians  or technologists , collect information and measurements to allow the correct diagnoses and treatment of eye diseases and problems such as . They work in hospitals , clinics , or the ophthalmologist in private practice. Their duties usually include to perform eye exams , assist with eye surgery or explain diagnostic and procedures to patients. 


Salary ; $14,000-$25,000 


Education Requirements ; 

Students interested to become a Ophthalmic Technician must have a high school diploma or a GED certificate. You need a two year of college prier to beginning your ophthalmic training programs . This programs can take two years to complete. 


Reflection ; Choosing this as a career is something that i don't see myself doing in the future, is just something that dosent get my attention to be .

Ophthalmologists

Duties and Responsibilities;
Their responsibilities are to specialize in the treatment of eye disorders and diseases. They are to treat patients with vision problems and write prescriptions for both pharmaceuticals and corrective eyeglasses lenses.  If it is necessary, they are also to perform eye surgery. For most ophthalmologists work in private practices, and work in hospitals, clinics or some perform research.

Salary:
 $90,000-$150,000

Education:
Physicians are the only one who may be able to study to become a Ophthalmologists. Once completing medical school and an internship, you must complete a three to Five year residency in an approved ophthalmology program. Once completing the residency program they are to pass an exam to be certified.

Reflection:

In this kind of study I don’t really see myself enjoying this as a career choice. It is really just something that I wouldn't choose to do as a career.

Occupational Therapist

Duties and Responsibilities:
   The occupation is to assist patients who are mentally, emotionally, or physically disabled; help handicapped and help patients regain their abilities to perform daily living and self-care skills. They tend to work with, physicians, counselors, and physicians, counselors, and physical therapist.
Part of being an occupational therapist is to design programs for patients who need therapy. They also design special equipment used for a patient’s therapy if needed, therapist also assist patients to learn how to work& home life after becoming disabled by injury or illness. Occupational therapists work in hospitals, nursing homes, or in schools for handicapped, rehabilitated centers, & adult day care centers .


Salary:
 $ 26,000-$45,000

Education:

 for those who want to choose this as a career you must complete high school courses such as Math, science
, and English
All states require for you to have a bachelors or a master’s degree that includes clinical experience , which must include a clinical experience and  must complete the national examination in order to become a certified occupational therapist .  



Reflection: 
  In my opinion I don’t see myself going for a career in this field , it not what I see ,yself doing in my future .

Nursing Home Administrator

Duties and Responsibilities:
  Their job is to plan as to direct operations of nursing homes and a long term care facilities. They are in charge to supervise personal, financial, medical, also nursing administration.  They mostly work in nursing homes, although some work in large corporations that control many facilities. Others teach and do research.

Salary:
 $40,000 - $55,000


Education:
Those interested in this career must complete high school courses such as business, science, math, and English.
The requirements differ for most states, nurses require at least having a bachelor’s degree, an additional internship program, and passing a comprehensive examination.


Reflection:
 In my opinion I do think I could be interested and see myself doing this as a future career.

Nuclear Medicine Technologist

                                                                                    

Duties and Responsibilities’:
 A Nuclear Medicine Technologist duty is to prepare and administrate Radio-pharmaceuticals (Radioactive Substances) that detect to treat disease. They are to position equipment over patients to make images. The pictures allow physicians to identify abnormal areas that help to diagnose an illness. Nuclear Medicine Technologist help to explain patient the outcome of their test, they are to administer radioactive doses by mouth or injection. They also make test of tissue samples. Technologists are to fallow strict majors and regulations due to dangers of radiation effects to their body organs.  They mainly work in hospital, clinics, or laboratories. The level of work varies depending upon level of training and education completed.

Salary:
$28,000- $42,000

Education:
Students must take high school courses such as Science, math, and English.
Their Training Varies in about a year or four years, A year completed you obtain a certificate that are offered in hospitals. Associate and bachelor degree are offered in colleges and universities. You must complete courses such as training in safety, radiation, physical science, Radiation of affects to the organs, computer tech., all states require a license, and all tech. must meet a federal standard for administrating and using of radioactive materials.

Reflection : In My opinion I wouldn’t like to work in this field it seems like you have to spend all your time working in this business , you need to always work in the computer and I’m not willing to affect my eyesight on this . Also it’s not the field that I am interested in .

Monitor Surveillance Technician 


Duties and Responsibilities : 
they are in charge to observe the electrical activity of heartbeats that shows in monitors in a cardiac care units of hospitals . They are also to examine these patterns and provide the results to physicians and nursing staff . 
 Responsibilities that they are to follow is to gather and report heart pattern information from patients. M.S.T. are to work on monitoring computers that simultaneously display on a patients results, they are to check for any heart pattern of changes and abnormalities. All the equipment , battery packs, and wiring systems must be clean and well maintain .

Salary :
 $26,000-$41,000

Education : 
Student who are interested in wanting to become a Monitor Surveillance Technicians ,must take courses such as

  • science
  • computer  
All this courses must be taken and completed in High school . Once high school Graduation they may enroll in training programs offered in Vocational schools , community colleges , or Hospitals . To complete this  program can be to 3 months or for 2 years .

Reflection : 
In my opinion i would consider two take this as a career choice , sounds very interesting as well.

Health Sciences Liberian

Duties and Responsibilities:

A health sciences Liberian job is to collect and organize medical 
information; they also help practioners to find the information needed for a patient care, education, research, and administration.  Their responsibilities are to select and acquire books, journals, and other library material. Their responsibility is also to care for electronic and digital information systems. They are to organize the information into collections and are to develop catalog’s access and provide reference assistance. They are also to coordinate and control for budgets and suppressive library technicians.

Salary:

  $20,000 - $30,000 (library technicians)
  $35,000-$55,000 (librarians)  
Education:

 Student must take courses in high school such as Science, math, 
English. Some health sciences library technicians are to have been provided training, but mostly all prefer for student to complete their library technician programs at a community college or technical school. You can earn an associate degree in many of the programs offered.


Reflection:

In my opinion I don’t see myself in this kind of career , I just see myself doing something different in another field that doesn't have to do with medicine .

Medical Illustrator
Duties and Responsibilities:  
  A Medical Illustrator responsibility is to work in the medical field, they are to create graphics for textbooks, journals, magazines, and educational films. They are to do drawings such as drawings span a wide range from microorganisms to a body parts.  Medical illustrators prepare other illustrators to aid in research about or creation of artificial parts, sometimes they are called modeling skills that create artificial body parts like noses, ears that are needed for patients that have had some sort of deformity or surgeries.

Salary:
$35,000 - $ 50,000

Education Requirements:
Those who are interested in this career, students must take college preparatory program in high school and take courses in art and science.
In college you must take a major or a minor in science or major science, and minor art. For undergraduate science courses are the same as required for medical school.
Medical Illustrators have a master’s degree in this field; most of the majority takes this program that is accreditation of Allied Health Educational programs.
For a certification a medical graduate degree in medical illustrator is required to a degree in medical illustration. A portfolio review and successful completion of a national examination.

Reflection:

In my opinion I wouldn't like to take this as a career it isn't that I see myself doing.

Medical Assistant 


Duties and Responsibilities : 
 A medical assistant helps a physicians and nurse assist caring for patients . They are to make sure to schedule a patients appointment , take blood pressure , also patients examining procedures . Medical assistant at times the also help with office or clerical tasks . A Media cal assistant usually work in hospitals , clinics , or private physician offices .


Salary : $17,000 - $18,000



Education :
 students must complete high school courses such as Biology , physical science , office management , communications , human relations . A GED may be acceptable , and can also revised training in community colleges , technical training schools. This may take 6 month to two years to complete .


Reflection ; i may have an interest in choosing this as a career , seems like a simply and fast training.

Industrial Hygienist 


Duties and responsibilities :  Industrial Hygienist evaluate health hazards , conduct health risk assessments , manage industrial or business health programs and provide consolation . They may be administrators , researchers , consultants or teachers . Many work as part of an industrial or government team , although some have private practices .


Salary : $40,000- $60,000


Education ; Students take college preparatory courses , especially in math , science during high school. 
Many Jobs requrire certification or a master degree in these , or related fileds.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)



Duties and Responsibilities:   (LPN) work with registered nurses also physicians.  (LPN) are to take care of the handicapped, and sick patients. A (LPN) duty is to take temperatures, blood pressures and pulses.
Their job also requires to give injections, change dressings, and give patients baths. In general, they care for patients in hospitals, nursing homes, or extended care facilities. Some (LPN) work in private homes.

Salary: $16,000-$23,000


Education:  A licensed Practical Nurse requires to have a diploma or GED certificate is not always required. Training is usually offered in state approve training programs in hospitals, vocational schools, junior colleges and private schools.

Reflection:  in my opinion being a licensed practical nurse could be very interesting to  have as a job , but it not what im looking forward as a career .

Home Health Aide


Duties and Responsibilities:  home health aide work with companies that assist people who are ill, injured, or disabled.  Their duties are to check blood pressure, temperature, and pulse for their patients.  They also assist them worth getting them in and out of bed. Take them baths or dress them, their duties also consist of serving their meals, housekeeping and cleaning their room and bed.

Salary; $8,000 - $18,000


Education: for a home health aide must have at least their high school diploma or a GED certificate. Or some vocational school and community colleges who offer training programs.




Reflection; in my opinion I wouldn't like to take this career is just something that im not particularly interested in.

Duties and Responsibilities:  health administrators help manage and direct ,  hospitals and other health care  facilities .  They are to take care  for planning , financial administration , personal administration and other responsibilities.

Education:  A health administrator must take course in their high school years such as science, math, English and business.  Health care administrators need a master’s degree in health care administration or business administration.


Reflection:    In my opinion I don’t think I would do good in this career because it is not in the field that I want to be in , although I think that being in this career showing a good leadership is great and I know that I can hold grate leadership but not in this career .

Histology Specialist


Duties and Responsibilities:  Histology specialist cut sections of tissue and places them to examine them into a microscope. The examine the tissue specimens in paraffin wax blocks or infiltrate tissue specimens with wax.  By examining the tissue under the microscope they make sure that the tissue preparation is to the laboratory requirements.  They are also to maintain all tools used in the laboratory such as Microscopes, Mass spectrometers, Microtomes, immunostainers, Tissue processor embedding centers, and water baths.


Salary: $22,000-$35,000
              $30,000-$50,000


Education:  Students need to take courses such as science, math, & English in high school years. To become a histology specialist you must earn an associate degree and can also earn a bachelor’s degree.  Also you must complete a year of completing an internship. And lastly you must pass the National examination.


 Reflection ; I really wouldn’t like to choose in this career because having to deal with cutting tissue  doesn’t make me comfturble  it gives me the woozies  even thinking about it , also because it not something I’m interested it  not in the field that I’m not interested in .
