Nuclear Medicine Technologist

                                                                                    

Duties and Responsibilities’:
 A Nuclear Medicine Technologist duty is to prepare and administrate Radio-pharmaceuticals (Radioactive Substances) that detect to treat disease. They are to position equipment over patients to make images. The pictures allow physicians to identify abnormal areas that help to diagnose an illness. Nuclear Medicine Technologist help to explain patient the outcome of their test, they are to administer radioactive doses by mouth or injection. They also make test of tissue samples. Technologists are to fallow strict majors and regulations due to dangers of radiation effects to their body organs.  They mainly work in hospital, clinics, or laboratories. The level of work varies depending upon level of training and education completed.

Salary:
$28,000- $42,000

Education:
Students must take high school courses such as Science, math, and English.
Their Training Varies in about a year or four years, A year completed you obtain a certificate that are offered in hospitals. Associate and bachelor degree are offered in colleges and universities. You must complete courses such as training in safety, radiation, physical science, Radiation of affects to the organs, computer tech., all states require a license, and all tech. must meet a federal standard for administrating and using of radioactive materials.

Reflection : In My opinion I wouldn’t like to work in this field it seems like you have to spend all your time working in this business , you need to always work in the computer and I’m not willing to affect my eyesight on this . Also it’s not the field that I am interested in .
