Ophthalmologists
Duties and Responsibilities;
Their responsibilities are to specialize in the treatment of
eye disorders and diseases. They are to treat patients with vision problems and
write prescriptions for both pharmaceuticals and corrective eyeglasses
lenses. If it is necessary, they are
also to perform eye surgery. For most ophthalmologists work in private practices,
and work in hospitals, clinics or some perform research.
Salary:
$90,000-$150,000
Education:
Physicians are the only one who may be able to study to
become a Ophthalmologists. Once completing medical school and an internship,
you must complete a three to Five year residency in an approved ophthalmology program.
Once completing the residency program they are to pass an exam to be certified.
Reflection:
In this kind of study I don’t really see myself enjoying
this as a career choice. It is really just something that I wouldn't choose to
do as a career.
